Peljesac Plavac Mali (Little Blue) 2010 - an ancestor of Zinfandel, Plavac is indigenous to Croatia. It is light on the tannins and the alcohol, only 12%. We have done many tastings and this wine is often the most popular as it offers the "off the beaten track" factor, great taste and fantastic value. Due to the steep drop of the Peljesac Peninsula in to the sea, vehicles can not be used in harvest. Still today, the traditional method of using donkeys to harvest the grapes is used. The donkey is the mascot of the area and is featured prominently on the label of the wine.
